The Universidad Nacional de Colombia is a public institution of higher education recognized for its academic excellence and its significant contribution to research and innovation in Colombia. Founded in 1867, it is one of the oldest universities in Latin America, with multiple campuses throughout the country and a wide range of academic offerings in various areas of knowledge.
The Nexos Project of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, promoted by the Vice Rector's Office for Research, aims to strengthen the sustainable development of Colombian territories. We address multifaceted challenges, such as water, energy, agriculture, health, climate change and peace, through an interdisciplinary approach. Our methodology includes the assessment of territorial contexts, the identification of challenges and the creation of roadmaps for research and innovation. We work in close collaboration with social actors and local communities to drive innovative and sustainable solutions, promoting an equitable and sustainable future in Colombia.
